Ruby lays under the dining room table during meals. She doesn’t always start there but she usually gets there eventually. She always checks my hands and whatever else might be in my lap as she’s finding her spot. There could be something there for her. Plus, my hands are on her way.
My mother taught me good manners and I always put my napkin in my lap. I had to stop doing that because of Ruby. She would take it and eat or shred it before I’m even out of my seat. Now, when I’m dining out it feels strange to have my napkin in my lap. Ruby could get it.
I wonder what other manners I’ve given up on? Sorry Mom.
